King Street 13.1
Category: Traffic engineering
Status: Waiting for solution
A concentrated loading area would be needed in the vicinity of the Király Street entrance to Gozsdu Udvar. At least 10 (preferably 15) meters long, by transforming some sloping parking lots. Currently, Gozsdu is often served by blocking the entire width of the sidewalk or stopping illegally halfway on the road. The loading area could also regulate taxi traffic heading to Gozsdu, providing a place for cars to stop. The protection of the areas currently affected by illegal loading must also be solved in a phased manner (by placing planters and bollards). On 22/04/2023, we sent the case to the regionally competent representative, Mónika Ujvári-Kövér, but since several offices/organizations are competent, we received this answer (the case is with the Budapest Public Road Freight Division) “In the Municipality, the City Operations Office is basically the one who is competent in this matter, but since in many cases the technical traffic issues belong to the Capital, the City Operations Office also forwards such cases to Budapest Public Roads Ltd. (BKK) for action. The Budapest Public Road Freight Division is the competent body within BKK to consider your current proposal.”
