There should be a bike lane on Rákóczi Street! Bicycle traffic from the direction of Keleti Railway Station towards Balaha Lújza Square is not resolved (not in the opposite direction either, but that is the 8th district), only smaller, often one-way streets are available, which is slower, more problematic, and also requires detours. Cyclists and scooter riders like to use the bus lane on Rákóczi Street, which is not only illegal (prohibited according to the Road Traffic Act), but also extremely dangerous! The situation is obviously not good for bus drivers either, because they constantly bypass people driving there, which makes the bus lane meaningless, as it slows down traffic. There was already a 'protest' earlier against cyclists using the bus lane, which resulted in the police standing at Huszár Street for 2 days and warning cyclists who were using the bus lane illegally. No meaningful step or solution has been taken since then. And the problem could be solved, the best example of which is the recently built bike path on Váci Street.
